Latitude and Longitude lines on maps is used to find locations. The above map shows the horizontal Latitude lines and vertical Longitude lines. The Equator is at 0 degrees Latitude, and the Prime Meridian is at 0 degrees Longitude. To find Latitude and Longitude on Google Maps. Go to Google Maps and search for a location. On a PC, right click the location and a window will pop up allowing you to click a “what’s here” link and the Latitude and Longitude will appear in the search field. On a Mac, use control click. Use Lined Paper to write the latitude and longitude coordinates for at least five different points on Google Maps.
