Project Description
In this STEM project, you’ll learn all about microgreens. You’ll learn about how microgreens grow and their nutrition benefits. Create your own microgreen, kitchen garden and track their growth.

Investigative Worksheet
3 medium to large sized Mason Jars with lids
About 12″ x 12″ mesh screen or cheese cloth
scissors
3 different types of seeds. Lentil, alfalfa, radish, and chickpeas are recommended (find them in the bulk dried food section)
water
ruler

Instructions
1. Print the Investigative Worksheet.
2. Watch the instructional video above for how to grow your microgreens.
3. Use scissors to cut the mesh screen or cheese cloth to fit the top of the mason jars.
4. Create a chart on the back of the Investigative Worksheet to track the daily growth of each type of microgreen. Use a ruler to measure and write down the growth each day.
