LINKING ACCOUNTS:
Step 1: Search for the account in the system
If all accounts are under the same parent email address, send Linking Accounts 1
If student accounts are under a different email address, send Linking Accounts 2

We need to confirm the accounts are yours since they are under a different email. We also need to put all of the accounts under the same parent email so things technically work. Can you send us an email from the email on file with the student accounts to confirm they are yours, and also let us know which email you prefer to use? I can then update the email address on your accounts and link your student accounts to the parent account. Please let me know. I will look for your other email as well.

NOTE: If changing to Pre-K level, select “prek” and not “pre-k” in the system for grade field (same for any new Pre-k accounts).

Please cancel automatic payment renewal inside your PayPal account. In order to stop recurring charges from happening, you must log into your PayPal account and stop the automatic renewal subscription. Unless you cancel this through PayPal these charges will keep accumulating each year.

Please login into your PayPal Account, go to Profile and choose Payments. Then click “Manage automatic payments” and cancel your auto renewal/subscription for Discovery K12. We do not have access to this and it must be done on your end.

Unfortunately, PayPal doesn’t offer us a way to track renewals and subscriptions. Going forward, we are currently working on a way to add a notification process to our platform.

PayPal Yearly Billing Cycles: Recurring payments are collected on the same month and day each year. If the initial recurring payment falls on February 29th of a leap year, PayPal adjusts the billing cycle to February 28th or March 1st the following year.

You can adjust your subscription inside your PayPal Account.

DK12 REFUND POLICY: We have a 14-day refund policy on the Parent/Teacher Account initial order. We do not provide refunds on renewals. You may manage your Parent/Teacher Account subscription inside your PayPal account. Instructions for canceling subscriptions are inside your PayPal account. You came in during our migration period, and that caused an issue with the grade level for the student account(s). I reset the student account(s) to a random grade grade, but you can set it to the correct level you need under the Help menu, inside the student account(s). You may need to refresh the web page, in order to see the change.

The “here” and “completed” buttons will return to their normal looking position as you move to the next task, but they record in the system and then all reporting activity is available in the Parent/Teacher Account, which is optional.

We are independent homeschooling which is not accredited. Only schools are accredited.

We are a platform and curriculum for independent homeschooling. Using our program, the parent is considered the “school” or “homeschool,” and should follow any policies set by your state to homeschool. Parents are the ones to issue credits, transcripts and diplomas to their homeschooled children.

Student accounts are free and include all curriculum. The curriculum can be used part time, full time, or as a learning supplement to current education. We have an optional parent/teacher account that provides curriculum and reporting tools for $99 per year.

We can do the sign up for you. We would need the following for each child.

Student username requested
Student first name
Parent email address
Grade level

All student work (regular daily assignments) will be given directly to parents/guardians, and we don’t store any work (other than digital worksheets that are part of the system). Parents/guardians may grade/review as they see fit. Not all like to grade for different reasons, but we recommend saving all work for student records. We recommend students write their name, date, day #, and subject on each produced assignment.

Depending on grade level, this is about what you should be getting each day for each subject:
Reading/Lit – the reading log should show: about 60 minutes
Language Arts – A writing piece or presentation
Math – any math practice problems and following along with the video using the Grid Paper
Science – daily notes
History – daily notes
PE – 30 minutes and then enter in the pe log
Visual/Performing Arts – students can take notes or produce an art project

Using our program, the parent is independently homeschooling and would follow the laws set by their state to homeschool. We are not a school. We are a curriculum. The parent/guardian is the one to maintain any official records or transcripts for their homeschooled children.

It sounds like your browser doesn’t support the audio for the spelling quizzes. If he doesn’t see the audio to hear it, then you would need to call out each word and administer the spelling quizzes. The words will be in the same order as shown on the assignment pages.

To print the full diploma or certificate. First make sure that your entire Parent Profile is filled in. If it is not, you’ll need to fill it in and then recreate the diploma or certificate so all of your data populates on it. When you go to print it, in your print window that pops up, you should see a checkbox or option that you can select that says “print background images” or something similar to that wording, and then the border/background will print for you.

We can print it and email it back to you as well, if you still can’t print it. We would need to know the login to access your parent account as if we are you.

Other Support Tasks
Daily:

Email subjects that say “Automatic Payments from X X were suspended – You didn’t get your money” – login to User Admin, enter email address to locate Parent/Teacher Account. Click Edit, and change the account to “Inactive”.
